Le site des Tours de Montmayeur est un site médiéval sur lequel perdurent les vestiges d’une motte castrale datée du 12e siècle, toujours dominé par la tour Nord Est s’élevant à plus de 20 m au dessus du sol.
Ce site médiéval a été aménagé de manière à ce que vous puissiez le découvrir comme l'on découvert les archéologues dans les années 90. Curiosité, observation, réflexion, déductions, patience, humilité, telles sont les qualités qui vont vous être demandées.
Pour profiter pleinement de la visite, rendez vous d’abord à "l’école de l’archéologie", au centre du plateau où se trouvent 5 tables d’écoliers.
A partir de là, vous serez envoyés en mission dans 5 zones du site pour 5 campagnes de fouilles différentes
