Le Hameau de Boudin avec sa chapelle dédiée à Saint Jacques, est inscrit comme site protégé depuis 1943 et certains de ses chalets sont inscrits à l'inventaire du patrimoine. Autrefois les hameaux du Beaufortain vivaient isolés surtout en hiver. La vie s'organisait alors autour de plusieurs pôles, que sont l'abreuvoir, le four à pain, l'école et la chapelle. Depuis ce hameau, on peut observer un joli panorama sur la vallée d'Arêches.
