This trail, a true walk between history and nature, invites you to follow the Isère on its left bank at Bourg de Péage and discover some of the most beautiful treasures of Romans sur Isère.
Crossing the heart of the city, this route offers a harmonious blend between architectural heritage and natural landscapes.
Throughout this journey, the Isère will accompany you, authentic thread of this walk between peaceful waters and green banks.
This trail is ideal for a walk with family or friends and allows to combine relaxation, discovery and contemplation, over the hidden treasures that mark the banks of the Isère.
The start of this loop of about 4.6 km is made from the Belvédère Saint-Romain. Follow the signage (sign representing bridge arches and water).
Cross the Parc François Mitterrand along Rue St Romain, the cemetery. Continue passing behind the Théâtre de la Presle. Cross the park to join 'Le Chemin des Bastions'.
Follow this path until you reach 'Avenue Berthelot', turn left and go up a few meters before turning left again into Rue Louise Michel.
Continue on the latter until the end and then turn left onto Missak Manouchian Street.
At the intersection with the street "Calixte Lafosse", turn right and then left "Le Hameau du Valois". Cross the subdivision by turning left, then slightly right while passing between the houses... Follow the signs!
Continue straight until you come to the street "Béatrix de Hongrie", take on the left pius to the right the little path that takes you past the kindergarten of the Ors.
Continue straight on, at the end, to the right then immediately to the left and continue along the path.
Pass in front of the "Shared Garden of Ors". At the intersection with the street "Salvador Allende", turn left, pass in front of the Hotel restaurant des Ors", then turn right "Allée des Ors".
Go up until you join the 'Voie Verte' along the Isère, turn left, take the 'Passerelle des Ors', to reach the neighboring town of 'Bourg de Péage'.
At the exit of the bridge, turn left and go up along the Isère, along the "Quays of Bourg de Péage".
Pass in front of the playgrounds, the pétanque fields.
At the bridge, take the stairs, to cross the "Pont Vieux" and return towards Romans. (If you cannot climb the stairs, slightly go back to the "Quai Tabary", take the street "Sirène" and on the left the street "du 27 Août").
In front of you stands the "Collégiale St Barnard", turn left into the street "Pêcherie", pass in front of "la fontaine du Puits du Cheval", move forward and turn left into the street "Fontessort".
At the roundabout, cross over, take the "Pont des Ursulines" which spans the "Savasse" and enter the "Parc François Mitterrand" to return to the starting point!
