The Maison de Brasseur or Brewers House is a craft brewery located in Pont d’Ain that uses the waters of the River Ain and the finest local hops and barley to produce its award winning beers. Open on Fridays from 14:30 to 19:00 or by appointment.
4 different verities of beer are brewed at the Maison de Brasseur. There is ‘Riviére d’Ain’ a lager brewed using wild hops, ‘Bresse’ an amber beer with a generous roundness and aromatic complexity, ‘Mont Bugey’ a delicious ale and ‘le Trou’ a blanche which was voted best pale beer in the world in 2013. At the brewery you can see how the beer is produced, you can also sample some of it in the tasting cellar and of course make a purchase. Pont-d’Ain beer from the Maison de Brasseur makes a great souvenir or gift.
