At the top of your game? Then set off on this beautiful loop between Lac du Bourget and the Massif des Bauges. It will be hard on your calves, but will reward you with unique views!
Barely out of town, and you've got to push on the pedals to climb the foothills of the Bauges massif. You'll break a sweat, but at least the hard part's over, and you're now overlooking Lac du Bourget. You can now take up a cruising pace and pedal leisurely along small country roads, from one village to the next. The views over the lake are splendid, and you can see boats sailing on its calm waters in the distance. Little by little, you approach Mont Revard on your right. From time to time you pass a small stream running down its slopes. And now it's your turn to start the descent. Soon the countryside gives way to the city, and you cross the town of Aix-les-Bains to reach the lakeside. After such a beautiful loop, there's nothing like a refreshing swim!
