Smooth climbs in the forest, not many cars, this is the ideal route to enjoy nature and discover Valromey and Plateau d'Hauteville.
No steep parts on this route but regular climbs on quiet roads.
The most difficult climb is the col de la Rochette which is a 2nd categorie climb from Ruffieu and a 3rd categorie from Hauteville-Lompnes.
The road above Virieu le Grand has a few lovely point of views above the vineyards. Several mountain ranges can be seen on clear days.
