The GR® de Pays "Tour du Pays de Lhuis et d'izieu" forms a loop that traverses the heights of southern Bugey before skirting the Rhône. This itinerary takes in many typical Bugey villages and hamlets.
Departing from Serrières-de-Briord, this GRP® hike takes in the heights of Calvaire de Portes (1,029 m), Mollard de Don (1,217 m) and Tentanet (1,019 m), descends to the shores of the Conzieu lakes, visits the Maison des Enfants d'Izieu and its painful history, skirts the banks of the Rhône near Evieu, and passes through the Bug villages and hamlets near Lhuis and Montagnieu.

Stage 2: Ordonnaz to Veyrin (7 hrs walk)
Stage 3: Veyrin to Les Sables (4h30 walk)
Stage 4: from Les Sables to Lhuis (Millieu) (4h30 walk)
Stage 5: Lhuis (Milieu) to Serrières-de-Briord (4h30 walk)
