A beautiful 2 days escapade between resurgences, waterfalls and magnificent panoramas. In the southern part of the Sixt-Passy nature reserve, follow this beautiful itinerary towards the alpage of Sales and its soothing setting.
A short itinerary that offers you a moment of disconnection in a magnificent natural setting.
Near Sixt-Fer à Cheval, the trail joins the Refuge de Sales in its valley. Between the Rochers des Fiz and the Désert de Platé, your itinerary follows the torrent of the Sales valley, feeding the different waterfalls that you will also have the opportunity to admire: the Sauffaz, the Pleureuse or the Sales waterfall.
The refuge, installed in the heart of an old mountain pasture, is the objective of the walk. Take the time for a break for a nice evening in these welcoming mountain chalets. The most courageous will be able to continue towards the Dérochoir in order to observe the view on the Mont Blanc valley at sunset.
In the heart of the Sixt-Passy nature reserve, the place is a privileged habitat for a typical mountain fauna. It is not uncommon to come across ibex or marmots along the way.
