Surrounded by the Belledonne, Chartreuse, Oisans and Vercors mountain ranges, Grenoble offers a pleasant living environment and plenty of opportunities to get away from it all when the weather's right.
Just outside Grenoble, you take a peaceful, shady greenway through a wild landscape, offering impressive views of the Isère river and the white rock cliffs of the Vercors. Follow the wooded banks of the Isère and discover the river's islands, home to many species of birds. Take a break at the Moirans - Voironnais birdwatching area. Another attraction for gourmet cyclists is the walnut grove, the largest in Europe. And the Grand Séchoir, a museum dedicated to walnuts, is the finishing point of your stopover... ideal for filling up on omega-3s!
