On the walls to the left, coming from Place aux Herbes, you can see the marks left by the hubs of cartwheels that dug into the mollasse.
At n°2 rue des Trois Carreaux stands the Poitiers tower, built in the 10th
and 11th centuries.
At the top, ancient battlements have been transformed into windows.
This medieval street leads to other medieval streets, rue Merlin and rue des Clercs.
