Le Cernix par le Balcon

Start from CREST-VOLAND, at the Tourist Office. Walk in the direction of LE CERNIX via Les Berrets Verts, Le Tovat, Ballevard and Les Embailles.

Return to CREST- VOLAND via Pont du Moulin, Combe Noire and Le Crest.

TO SEE :

From the Pont du Moulin in the direction of Combe Noire, you will see an old-fashioned farm, made up of three buildings: farmhouse, grain store, and oven.

INTERESTING FACT :

Before the arrival of "L'Electricité de France", at the beginning of the 20th century, the village saw-mill was powered by a hydroelectric dynamo and supplied the village with electricity until 1950. The electricity was sold by the company at 1 ½ francs per "candle year" and 400 francs per "horsepower". (source : "Crest-Voland d'hier et d'aujourdhui" / 1990).
