The waterfall is very attractive. A loop that allows you to see it from its full height and enjoy its coolness! It will keep you company along the way.
From the Porte de Rosuel refuge (1,500 m) take the GR5 towards the upper valley. Meadows, megaphorbia (alders, gooseberries and plants that don't like the sun too much), panoramic platform, larch woods. At the end of a narrow passage, we come to a large cairn dedicated to a dead climber on the south face of Mt Pourri. We leave the main path. Behind the cairn, another path starts that passes over the Varchey bridge. We find a path that descends on the right bank of the torrent through an alder wood. You cross a large torrent (Nant du Prêtre) and then a meadow until you reach the foot of the large waterfall. We cross the water on an aerial EDF water intake (1 806 m). The return to the hamlet of Guraz and then Rosuel is easy to find.
The water from all these torrents crosses the mountain (7 km gallery) to reach the Tignes dam and work to produce our electricity.
Difficulties: Torrent crossings, aerial passages. Stay on the paths. Do not try to go UNDER the waterfall: with the water also fall stones...
