AROUND GRAND SERRE

Once you exit Nantes-en-Rattier, the climb of the Malissol mountain pass (category 3, 2.2 km at an 8.8% slope) begins. At the top, you get a commanding view over the Roizonne valley and the Matheysin plateau and a superb panoramic view of the Obiou (south) and the Coiro (east). Thereafter, you will enjoy a long and easy downhill ride to Moulin-Vieux (Old Mill), where the climb of the La Morte mountain pass awaits you, on the grounds of the Alpe du Grand Serre resort. You will then descend a steep winding road to Saint-Barthélémy-deSéchilienne and then climb up to Laffrey through woods via the challenging Côte de Laffrey (6.3 km at a 6.2% slope). In Laffrey turn left at the traffic light to Cholonge, then to Villard Saint Christophe by a small road very rural. In Villard Saint Christophe turn right and follow cycle sign
