Latitude :

Longitude :

46.245476

Map ref. :

From the typical village of Meillonnas, at the foot of the Revermont, a tour on the Mt Plantaglay up to the cave of the fairies and its magnificent point of view on Treffort, medieval village, the Mt Grillerin and the mythical triplet: Montfort, Mt-Châtel, Mt-Myon.

Circuit n°17

Route : Take the n°18, go up for about 15mn and turn right at the sign "Crête ". At the crest, turn left. The path slopes sharply to the north, cross the fence and go down to the edge of the meadow. After the straddle, right on the path to the large meadow. At the top of the meadow, go straight ahead. Pass by a pylon and continue. Pass near the grotte des Fées on the right (sign). Continue to the belvedere (viewpoint on Treffort) by the path which starts in the bend.

Two possibilities for the return:

- Return to the wide path and take it to the right.

- Continue on the path that goes down steeply, turns left and reaches Meillonnas.

History:

"A small Neolithic burial ground, remains of pottery and animal bones were discovered here in the early 20th century. Deer, badgers, cats and oxen must have served as meals to our distant ancestors. But the most surprising thing is that marmot bones have also been identified.

The particularity of this place is to offer one of the most beautiful perspectives on the village of Treffort, the mount Grillerin, the crest of Nivigne and the mythical triplet of Revermont: Montfort, Mont Châtel and Mont Myon.
