Classified as a sensitive natural area, here the water forms an almost perfect circle some 40m in diameter. In the middle of a peat bog rich in rare plants. From a viewpoint overlooking the road, you can observe this intriguing natural phenomenon.
The peat bog is rich in sphagnum mosses, and the water forms a circular basin 40 m in diameter and varying in depth from 2.5 m to 3.2 m, with a constant water level.
The Cerin peat bog is home to a large number of remarkable plant and animal species, including several protected species (Damier de la Sucisse, Bacchante, Azuré des Mouillères and Drosera butterflies).
Please note: it is forbidden to walk in the peat bog. An orientation table and explanations are available at the lookout point.
