A steady climb from the resort of Val d'Isère will take you to the highest road pass in the Alps at 2764 m altitude.
On certain summer days, the road from Val d'Isère to the Col d’Iseran is closed to all traffic except cyclists, who get to enjoy the ascent and the scenery without having to think about cars.
