A little-known Béveldère at the gateway to the Maurienne
The commune of Montgilbert is located at the entrance to the Maurienne valley, backing onto the Belledonne massif and facing the Grand Arc massif.
The village is spread over 22 hamlets, served by the departmental road 116 to the Chef-lieu and the communal roads of l'Endroit and l'Envers, forming a loop.
