Offering a sumptuous panorama of the Geneva basin, this site is one of the most beautiful in the commune of Vers. Here you'll find a statue of the Virgin and Child, created by Lyon sculptor Lucien Gratien in 1945.

It pays homage to Notre-Dame du Mont Sion, patron saint of travellers, for protecting the village from Nazi war crimes during the 2nd World War.

At the time, the town was spared the fires that struck the villages of Bloux, Chevrier and Valleiry in August 1944. The site is still a place of pilgrimage every first Sunday in August.

A small chapel stands on the site.

It's also an ideal spot for a shady picnic break in summer, with views over Geneva, Lake Geneva, the mountains and the plain.
