Museum dedicated to Roberto Clement Galletti Di Cadillac’s life and work. Galletti was the neglected pioneer of wireless telegraphy. You will discover the history of his station of wireless telegraphy and you will be impressed by his ingeniousness.
In 1912, Roberto Clemens Galletti set up in Champagneux one of the most powerful transmitting station of the world at the time. Unfortunately, History was to forget about Galletti's work because of the torment of the first World War… Clemens Galletti carried on his scientific studies.
In this museum you will discover the history about the radio and the telephone through a collection of old radio sets, phones, posters and documents. That way you will relive the important stages of the development of wireless.
You will also find documents, photos and videos about flora in Saint Maurice de Rotherens, plus everything you need to know about the local history from the 11th century and of course, you will have a little idea of what the local dialect looks like thanks to records, documents and archives.
Outside the museum, you can follow a marked out path leading you to the "site des fils" , that is a panoramic viewpoint where arrived the aerial of the transmitting station at Leschaux.
Be careful with kid.
