Notre Dame du Pré is an ideal place for snowshoeing in winter.
Away from the big resorts, it is a protected natural setting, situated on a sunny plateau at an altitude of almost 1300 metres.
This walk is accompanied by a qualified mountain leader who lives in the village.
The walk takes you through forests and large snowfields in the heart of unspoilt nature.
You'll follow wild, little-travelled routes.
You will discover the life of the wild fauna in winter, enjoy breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and share so many anecdotes.
Programme:
Several routes are possible.
Your guide will choose a route suited to the snow conditions and those of the group.
A steady but not too steep ascent will take you to a lovely open space facing Mont Blanc, where you can enjoy our warm, local, open-air meal.
The descent, if possible in powder snow, brings out the fun side of the activity.
Your guide's advice will help you to move around efficiently with your snowshoes, both on the ground and in the air.
The open-air meal is prepared by the Auberge de la fruitière in Notre Dame du Pré.
