Angelin Preljocaj's first creation for the Paris Opera in 1994, Le Parc is a timeless ballet about love and seduction.
Freely inspired by the behaviours and codes of love in the 17th and 18th centuries, this narrative ballet tells the story of a woman who resists love and eventually succumbs to it. The dancers of the Paris Opera Ballet perform in 18th-century costumes to a score by Mozart. The magnificent, minimalist sets transport us back to the era of Louis XIV, the father of the Paris Opera Ballet.
