By following this loop you will discover bucolic and forest landscapes, but also the magnificent village of Nernier, nestled by the lake or the village of Essert, with rustic charm.
Le sentier de La Perle, est une très belle promenade familiale aux alentours du village de Nernier.
Vous partirez dans un premier temps en direction du Bois de l’Île avant de revenir sous forme de boucle par le hameau des Essert puis le village de Nernier.
Village romantique par excellence, Nernier et son port de plaisance sauront vous séduire.
Chargé d'histoire et pittoresque, le lieu est une véritable perle du lac Léman. De grands auteurs romantiques du XIXème siècle sont passés par Nernier, notamment Lamartine, Shelley et Byron dont le passage a marqué la mémoire collective locale.
Durant les derniers siècles, le village a également vécu une importante activité de tannage des peaux, de pêche et de contrebande avec la Suisse toute proche.
