Ascent: From one of the two refuges at Les Granges de la Vallée Etroite, follow the path to the Fonderie bridge (1,897 m), leaving it shortly afterwards to climb northwest to the Blanchet mine through the woods.

Pass at the foot of the curious walls of Le Séru and over undulating slopes to reach Mont Thabor (pilgrimage chapel at the summit).
