Follow the meanders of the Rhone River and discover the panoramic view from the St Romain Chapel, at the heart of the Joncieux vineyard. Walk your way back through the alluvial plain of Yenne. Difficulty : medium. Duration : 4:30 hours. Starts from Yenne.
Discover the Chapelle Saint Romain, located in the commune of Jongieux near an orientation table. You can also admire the Jongieux vineyards, the Crus de Jongieux and Marestel wine-growing site, which has been nationally classified for its landscape quality since 2010.
The Lagneux marsh and chapel are also worth a visit.

The Butte Saint-Romain:
A site in the commune of Jongieux, the Butte Saint Romain, which was a surveillance post on the Rhône for the Gauls, and its plateau are a major archaeological site. Finds at St-Romain point to the existence of a Gallo-Roman building from the early Christian era, later replaced by a Christian chapel from the Middle Ages (destroyed during the Revolution). In 1938, a 4th-century stele dedicated to the Gallic god Sylvanus was discovered. It bears a Christian inscription (504) on the reverse, the oldest in Savoie. This stele has been placed in the Musée Lapidaire in Aix-les-Bains. A committee founded in 1990 is behind the construction of the new chapel.
