Between the remarkable « Goulets » road and that of Combe Laval, an exciting circuit! (156 km)
Unmissable: the remarkable roads of the Petits Goulets and Combe Laval. The ‘site national historique de la Résistance’ (Memorial – poignant interpretation) – Necropolis, museum at Vassieux-en-Vercors, ‘Cour des fusillés’ at la Chapelle-en-Vercors, la Grotte de la Luire at St-Agnan-en-Vercors…). The Col de Rousset, resort open for the practice of a number of sports depending on the season. Léoncel (Cistercian abbey), the Col des Limouches and the splendid panorama over the Valence plain.
The + of this circuit : St-Nazaire-en-Royans and its iron bearing rocks (paddle steamer, Grotte de Thaïs, aqueduct). La-Chapelle-en-Vercors, 12th century bell tower in the church, la Chapelle St-Antoine and its golf course (there is another golf course on your circuit at Charpey). Vassieux-en-Vercors : the little world of the ‘santons’ and the ‘Musée de la Préhistoire’[archaeology] with its flint knapping workshop. The Draye Blanche cave system.
