Courte section au pied des monts du Bugey. Agréable balade sur voie cycliste de la via Rhôna, du joli village de St-Sorlin à l'impressionnant barrage de Sault-Brenaz. Champs de maïs et fleuve étincelant au soleil, parfait pour un aller-retour en famille.
La via Rhôna se poursuit au barrage de Saut Brenaz en direction du Bugey Sud.
En continuant hors via rhôna sur 2 km, le sentier des Hommes forts à Villebois offre un agréable sentier de balade familial.
Petit détour conseillé par le beau village de Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey (moins d'1 km du départ de la via) : ses façades en pierre, sa fresque médiévale, son église... Caveau de dégustation de vin dans le village.
Aire de pique-nique à l'arrivée à Vertrieu, avec vue sur le château en face pour une halte.
