Via ferrata with the Bureau des Guides de La Grave

Via ferrata is the construction of an itinerary on a rock face using special metal elements (cables, rungs, ladders, ramps, etc.). There are several possible routes in the Écrins and Oisans, ranging from beginners' to long-distance.

Using dedicated equipment (double-lanyard with shock-absorber), participants belay themselves along an existing lifeline, roped in with their instructor and following the principles of climbing belaying.

Halfway between hiking and climbing, some via ferrata climbs are accessible to the general public, allowing you to discover the vertical and to discover yourself in the vertical!

Although the equipment in place tends to give climbers a feeling of safety, via ferrata remains a high-altitude activity that involves risks: we'll teach you the skills you need to master the techniques of progression.

- Via ferrata de Saint Christophe en Oisans - big 1/2 day - medium level (from 12 years)

- Via ferrata la Pisse - 3/4h - morning - athletic, long (250m) and vertical, continuously following the bride's veil waterfall (teens and adults)
