A mix of climbing and steep paths, Via Ferrata permits users to discover the sensations of mountaineering. Accessible to most people, it advances through turns and vertical rock faces, offering breathtaking panoramic views of lakes, alpine pastures and Mont Blanc.
The Roc du Vent Via Ferrata combines a range of attractions from the technical (ramps, turns, minimum amount of bars, walkway and tunnel) to the visual: panoramic views of lakes, alpine patures, peaks of the Beaufortain and Mont-Blanc.
Length: 2000m of which 950m is fitted with cables. Rating: AD sparsely supported. Time: 4 to 5 hours.
Altitude at start : 1813m ; altitude at finish : 2360m. Time to reach start : 45 min ; time to return from finish : 30 min.
Necessary equipment: climbing harness with screw carabiner. Helmet. Twin lanyard with shock absorber and 2 wide-opening caribiners with automatic locking. Never use straps on their own: danger of death from falling. Back up ropes are strongly recommended, especially for children and beginners. Permanent clipping of the cable and rungs during the vertical sections, twin lanyard with shock-absorber essential.
