The capital of a castellany, Saint Sorlin and its castles became a winegrowing town in the 18th century. The stone houses adorned with rosebushes, the 16th-century fresco depicting St. Christopher and the view of the Rhône River invite you to travel back in time.

The village of Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey and the hamlet of Collonges are now united in a single, charming Bugiste village.

As you stroll through the village, you'll come across winegrowers' houses, a sober 12th-century church that has since been remodeled, beautiful 19th-century washhouses, the ruins of the grand château and the château de Cuchet, the château du Molard perched at the end of the village, and the 18th-century château de la Durandière, just below the ViaRhôna.

Discover the village thanks to an original creation from the tourist office, the free audio tour "Saint Sorlin en Bugey, le joli bourg vigneron" on the IziTravel application.
