Set up on the observation terrace, you'll observe through a 120 mm Télévue telescope fitted with a professional Coronado solar filter.
Sun observation is an integral part of astronomy, even though it takes place during the day.
Guided by our scientific mediator, discover the sun's fabulous surface activity: sunspots, protuberances and orange peel...
Observations can only be made when the sky is perfectly clear, so in the event of bad weather preventing observation, we'll offer you a session with Mitaka software (digital projection with commentary by our animator, simulating a space journey from Earth to the farthest reaches of the Universe). Understand and visualize the organization of our solar system, its place in the Milky Way and in the Universe, the structure of the Universe and its components...).
Duration: approx. 1 hour.
Recommended for ages 8 and up.
Please arrive at reception 15 minutes before the start of the session.
Please park in the 1st parking lot, the Observatory is 500 m away.
Only people with reduced mobility, the elderly or baby carriages are allowed to continue by car to the 2nd parking lot.
For everyone's safety, please keep to a walking pace.
