To philosophize with children is to contribute to the development of discernment and empathy in tomorrow's citizens.
To philosophize and meditate with children and teenagers is to enable them to reason for themselves, to develop their emotional intelligence, to develop their creativity, to show empathy, to cooperate with people from different cultures and to prepare them to become confident, active and responsible citizens.
It's about helping children - tomorrow's citizens - develop discernment and empathy.
The philo-art workshops begin with a period of attention practice to help children and teenagers focus.
They continue with a philosophical discussion in the form of a talking circle (using a talking ball) on a theme or notion.
Artistic creation is proposed either :
- at the end of the workshop: ART as ILLUSTRATION
- as a support for the workshop: ART as INDUCTOR
- at the beginning of the workshop: ART as a MEANS of CONCEPTUAL EXPLORATION (holistic method)
Examples of concepts, at the crossroads of philosophy and the world of children: evil, politics, the unconscious, play, power, perception, beauty, desire, money, others, belief, work, truth, duty, culture, freedom, conscience, nature, reason, words, time, feeling, the good, art, society, happiness, justice, dreams, existence, technology, matter, science, law, the mind, the State, the living, memory, doubt, reality, pleasure, love, history...
