Bonneval sur Arc, a member of the exclusive "Most Beautiful Villages in France" association, is a splendid blend of carved stone and slate.

Here, the value of skiing is not measured in kilometers of slopes, but in snow quality (until spring), vertical drop (1200m), virgin slopes and exceptional panoramas.

On the marvellous Cirque des Evettes trail, the hamlet of l'Ecot played host to the filming of Belle et Sébastien. The mountains everywhere lend themselves to unforgettable hikes.

By protecting their village, giving priority to mountain farming and milk production (AOP Beaufort, Bleu de Bonneval), promoting family tourism and multi-activity, the Bonneval people have set their sights high! One of the territory's two highest communes (1759-3642m), along with Bessans, situated at the foot of France's highest road pass, the Iseran (2764m), has succeeded because it has set high standards for its tourism development!

But after the creation of the Parc national de la Vanoise in 1963, on the initiative of the mayor of the time, and the restoration in 1971, a new challenge awaits the local nugget. This challenge is being taken up by a group of "whistle-blowers" who are convinced that the time has come to question the status quo and embark on a new cycle of quality.
