Lessy lake
Swimming in the lake of Lessy is forbidden in order to protect the fauna and flora.
The lake of Lessy is a high altitude lake located at 1730 m of altitude in Haute-Savoie, on the commune of Glières-Val-de-Borne (Petit-Bornand-les-Glières) in the Aravis massif. The access is only by hiking.
This natural jewel nestled in the heart of the mountain pastures and at the foot of the Jallouvre and the Aiguille Verte offers a real postcard landscape.
The various hiking trails to reach the lake are of medium to difficult difficulty: Cenise, Paradis & Mayse. It will take at least 3 hours to get there.
It is a place not to be missed in our territory. From the top of the ridge, you will have magnificent views of the Aravis mountain range, Lake Geneva and Lake Lessy. The lake shelters a remarkable fauna and flora which it is necessary to preserve to continue to be enchanted by this magic site.
