These two menhirs, listed in the Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques, are the two largest megaliths of this type known in Provence.
These monolithic blocks cut from a local gneiss bed are 3.15m and 2.82m high. They can be attributed to a period between the end of the Neolithic and the Bronze Age, however no archaeological remains have been discovered in the vicinity and in general, it is still unknown what the significance of this type of monument was: milestones, primitive idols...
