Perrache District
The Perrache quarter is the southern-most point of the Presqu’Ile, to the south of the Ainay quarter and the UNESCO site. It owes its name to Michel-Antoine Perrache, who decided to modify the confluence and push it southwards.
Works began on the area between 1809 and 1814 and finished in 1840. Perrache train station is one of the earliest stations in all of France.
