A great little escape, this lovely flat trail takes you to the Éclipse run, the venue
for the Alpine World Ski Championships Courchevel-Méribel 2023.
From the top of the former Praz gondola lift, cross the Plantrey ski slope (crossing forbidden from 9.00am to 5.00pm), follow the track through the forest which will lead you to the Eclipse ski run. Backtrack and return to Courchevel 1850 by the same path.

A great place to relax and have a picnic with the added bonus of a view of the Grand Bec, the Tarentaise Valley and the resort of Courchevel La Tania from a viewpoint on the way back. You can do a circuit via the 4x4 track.

The route takes you to a huge cairn (3,5m), and a vast field of scree opens out in front of you afterwards, with the wreckage of a plane that crashed on December 19th 1969.

For the more experienced, a via cordata (rocky path with metal cables) allows you to continue to the Col de Mey mountain pass. Not a good idea if you suffer from vertigo!
