Once upon a time, Courchevel La Tania was a hamlet perched at an altitude of 1400 m, which became a winter sports resort in 1990, linked to the 3 Vallées ski area. Let a local guide tell you all about its rich history.
Let yourself be guided for a morning to discover the history of Courchevel La Tania: a hamlet of remues perched at an altitude of 1400 m, in the Tarentaise valley in Savoie, on the territory of La Perrière, which developed into a winter sports resort from 1990, and linked to the world's largest ski area: Les Trois Vallées. A hamlet of remues was once a place temporarily inhabited by families from the valley, punctuated by the rhythm of mountain farming life. A walking tour, with steep ascents and descents, from the tourist office (La Tania), followed by a stroll through the traditional neighborhoods of La Tagna and Le Formier.
Tour led by a guide from the Pays d'art et d'histoire des hautes vallées de Savoie with the FACIM Foundation.
