Courchevel is easily accessible by car, train, or bus. Lyon Airport is only a 2-hour drive away, while Chambéry is 1 hour and 30 minutes away. The Moûtiers train station is just 30 minutes away from Courchevel. Whether you're traveling by car, train, or bus, your mountain getaway can start with ease. The roads leading to Courchevel are generally clear and offer stunning views of the villages, forests, and sun-drenched plateaus.
Courchevel guarantees snow from the beginning to the end of the season. Thanks to its high-altitude ski area, with 80% of the slopes above 1800 meters, snow conditions are generally excellent throughout the winter.
Absolutely! Courchevel offers many options for beginner skiers. The resort has specially designed areas for novice skiers, with gentle and wide slopes, perfect for safely learning the basics of skiing. Free access ski lifts and magic carpets are available in each village. Additionally, Courchevel has many ski schools that offer lessons for all levels, including beginners and children, in group or private settings. You can benefit from the expertise of instructors who will teach you the basic ski techniques and accompany you in your progress, adapting to your needs and pace.
To facilitate your transportation in Courchevel, you can leave your car in one of the 11 available parking lots and use the free shuttles that run continuously. You can easily move between different levels of Courchevel and its hamlets. Additional shuttle services are also provided during major events of the season to ensure convenient and smooth transportation. During winter, the Praz and Grangettes gondolas operate on urban schedules (from 7:45 am to 11:30 pm), allowing you to easily and quickly travel between villages.
