20. Morgins - Vallon de They

Starting behind the Bellevue building, walk in the direction 'Vallon de They' (Route de Chésery). Head past the Morgins Ranch, passing under the orange arch which represents the sun on the Chemin des Planètes. At the next crossroads, turn left onto the path called Petits Ponts, following the snowshoe sign "They". This trail leapfrogs over the Vièze River with a dozen bridges and gangways.

Along the path, you'll see Morgins' famous Eau Rouge spring, marked by a stone grotto and clearly identifiable by the bright orange colour of the rocks in the stream. Tourists first came to Morgins to 'take' the iron-rich waters, which are high in minerals and still pure enough to drink even today.

The trail ends at the quaint traditional chalet that houses the Vieux They restaurant. The return journey is via the same trail "Petits Ponts" or you can return via the Chemin des Planètes (groomed pedestrian route).

In case of avalanche danger, do not pass the barrier that closes the trail at half of the snowshoe route.

What's more, throughout the winter, you must never go beyond the restaurant.

Tip: park in the P7 parking lot in front of the Bellevue building.
