10am: Guided tour of the Dombes ponds

A land of a thousand ponds, the Dombes reveals landscapes and colors that change with the seasons. In this setting cohabits an incredibly rich fauna, starting with the birds. Stop with your guide at the edge of a pond to learn about its history, traditional fishing and discover this unspoilt natural environment (approx. 42 km tour with your coach, departing from Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne).

2pm: Guided tour of the medieval town of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne

Discover the architectural riches of this charming town, from the Place du Champ de Foire to the Porte de Villars, passing by the Maison Saint Vincent de Paul and the 15th-century covered market, which houses the weekly market. You will wander through the cobbled streets and over the flower-covered bridges and admire the painted decorations on the facades or the profusion of flowers. A one-kilometer walk punctuated by numerous stops where the history of "the little Venice of Dombes" will be revealed to you.

4pm: Self-guided tour of the Model Train Museum.

Between the real and the imaginary, a fabulous miniature show, unique in France, punctuated by multiple scenes that take you from the Alps to Provence via Lyon.
