Accompanied by a guide, children set off to discover Abondance AOP cheese. From the mountain pastures to the table, they will learn everything there is to know about this cheese, which is emblematic of the region.
Abondance. Thanks to discussions with the mediator, various topics will be covered: the geography of the valley, cow breeds, stages of production from yesterday to today, Savoie cheeses with quality labels, and more.
All the secrets of this Protected Designation of Origin will be revealed, and visitors will get to taste the cheese at the end of the tour!
Topics covered: geography of the Abondance valley; the breeds of cows authorized to produce Abondance cheese, their diet, milk and bells; production methods from yesterday to today; maturing; labels, the 8 Savoie cheeses with a quality label.
