This fifth stage of the GRP Littoral du Léman will take you from Thonon-les-Bains to Sciez. In a first part, you will reach the castle of Allinges, before continuing in the direction of the marina of Sciez.

Starting from the spa town of Thonon-les-Bains, this fifth stage takes place first in an urban area in order to leave the town and then join more rural paths. Approximately in the middle of the stage are the ruins of the Château-Neuf and Château-Vieu d'Allinges.

Located on the hill of Allinges, this place was the residence of Saint François de Sales during his mission of evangelization of the province. Built in the 10th century, the highest viewpoint is 717 meters high.

You will then reach the village of Sciez-sur-Léman and its marina. Take the time to admire the castle of Coudrée, built in the 12th century by the Counts of Savoy, now a luxury hotel.
