From the Pointe des Follys, a magnificent panorama will be offered to you: the valley of Abondance, the Teeth of the South, the Mount of Grange and the Lake Geneva. The descent will also offer you nice views on the Charmy valley and a nice forest path.

To get to the start, take the Essert gondola (pedestrian pass available at the bottom of the gondola).

1 : At the arrival of the gondola, turn right and go past the bottom of the Petit Fremoux ski lift. Head towards the chalets de l'Essert and then go up towards the forest which you follow until you reach the ridge. Follow the ridge (be careful not to get too close to the edge of the cornice until you reach the relay (antennas). The Pointe des Follys (1674 m) offers a magnificent view. Picnic tables on site. Go back down the same way to the gondola station.

2: Walk along the restaurant de l'Essert on the right and continue towards the Corne ski lift. Then cross the piste leading up to the Chalets de Brion. Continue towards the chalets of Mont Logis and Bothiay until you reach Charmy l'Envers. Take the road on the left towards the centre of the village of Abondance. On the way, you will reach the car park of the cable car.
