Set against the backdrop of the Chartreuse Massif, the Château du Touvet captivates visitors with its majestic setting dominated by mountains and the omnipresence of water in its magnificent gardens. Furniture, décor and historical items from the monarchy to the Empire.

In the middle ages the castle was a fortress which garded and watched the valley. Surrounded by high walls, 5 towers, planks equipped with a weigh bridge. During the 18th century, the castle is decorated and embellished by wood pannels, walls tapestries, wood floors which witness the rich « art de vivre » of the french Dauphiné nobility.
