La Sereine, coming from La Dombes via Montluel, crosses from east to westthe south-east point of Beynost territory, before flowing into The Rhône.
The course of the river that used to flow towards the south has been diverted by men towards west in order to irrigate grasslands and lands. However, this artificial bed experiences flooding.
