Chambéry and the Savoie wine route (1 day)

MORNING - Discovery of Chambéry and the railway Rotunda

9:30 am: Follow the guide and enter the heart of one of the largest roundhouses in France. This masterpiece of early 20th century railway heritage is still in operation. Under the Eiffel-type metal framework, relive the great technological changes of the railway and admire the historic locomotives that are preserved there.

11 am: Departing from the Place Saint-Léger, the little tourist train will make you discover the discreet and bewitching charm of the old town of Chambéry which has kept a unique architectural and medieval heritage.

12 pm: Lunch in a traditional restaurant in the historical center.

AFTERNOON - Discovery of the Savoy Wine Route

2 pm: Bus transfer to the Combe de Savoie and its exceptional vineyards!

2:30 pm: Discovery of the vine and wine museum in Montmélian. In this vast space of nearly 1,000 m², visitors are invited to explore the specificities of Savoyard viticulture. Along the way, films, testimonials and games accompany the presentation of the collection of tools and machines. Between history and current practices, the museum offers a varied discovery for the greatest number of people.

4 pm: Prestige tasting at Château de Mérande in Arbin.

This wine estate is the fruit of the work of several generations, who have been running the estate according to biodynamic principles since 2009, in addition to certified organic viticulture.

5:30 pm: Return to Chambéry, end of the visits.
