From the church to the old convent buildings, the cloister and the old orchard, this emblematic monument of the Chablais region will reveal all its secrets.
From the 19th-century trompe-l'œil decoration of the abbey church to the 15th-century wall paintings in the cloister, take a tour of the abbey site to admire its treasures. Between art, history and architecture, let our mediator guide you to the heart of Abondance Abbey.
Then enter a part of the conventual buildings to appreciate the exhibition “From history to art: sacred heritage in the Abondance valley”, which contains treasures from our collection. Finally, head to the abbey's former orchard for a breathtaking view of the building's architecture. (Weather permitting.)
