Excursion: Industrial Revolution in the Cerdon region

On the agenda: Total immersion in the heart of a renowned copper factory and one of the largest silk weaving factories in Europe!

10 a.m.: Visit to the Cerdon Copperworks

Witness to an industrial adventure spanning over 150 years, the Cerdon Copperworks offers an incredible immersion into the secrets of the workshops. Semi-independent visit: upon arrival, a guide will welcome you with a historical introduction. Then, during your discovery, you will attend demonstrations on fully restored historic machines. Please note: 600 m walk to access the Copperworks.

3 p.m.: Visit to the Musée des Soieries Bonnet

Discover one of the largest silk weaving mills in Europe! You'll be able to admire the unique fabrics of the greatest fashion houses (Dior, Chanel, etc.), discover the craftsmanship of the workers, and immerse yourself in the workings of a factory that employed more than 1,200 people. The excursion includes a guided tour of the former weaving workshops and a self-guided tour of the permanent exhibitions.
