Megève cross country skiing

Seasoned cross country skiers, classic or skate skiing enthusiasts, Megève's Nordic ski area offers nearly 40km of trails, of all levels from green to black, offering a multitude of slopes, berms, banked turns and passages through picturesque woodlands.

38km of prepared and sign-posted trails for both classic and skate skiing, from beginner level to very technical trails:

- Livraz - Cote 2000: 18km ( with a ski-pass)

- Mont d'Arbois - Encraty*: 10km

- Groomed itinerary linking with Bettex - St Nicolas de Véroce: 15km

- Odier - Plaine d'Arly*: 5km

Fun:

For both children and adults, the Livraz skiing area is a 100% pleasure destination. Moguls and ski jumps make it a paradise for teenagers and lovers of thrills and strong emotions, but also for families, as this site, partially closed in and with gentle slopes is also the ideal playground for children to learn cross-country skiing.

Invigorating:

With its steep ups and downs and technical turns, the Javen circuit attracts those for whom this sport is synonymous with challenge and self-surpassing. A technical terrain with, as a reward for effort, very lovely viewpoints over Lake Javen, the Mont-d’Arbois and the Mont-Blanc!

Contemplative:

The trails of Planay-Planellet hold some lovely surprises in store for nature lovers: a chamois or roe deer as you come through a turn, the flight of a bird of prey skimming the fir trees… A real haven of peace where only the murmuring of a mountain torrent breaks the silence in this preserved and isolated location, far from habitations. An oasis of nature in which to re-charge your batteries and spend some time just for yourself.

Biathlon initiation at the Livraz Nordic site (rifle shooting range nearby) for all ages with the ESF (French Ski School).

LIVRAZ NORDIC SITE

Just a few minutes from the village centre, behind the Mont d’Arbois, the Livraz Nordic site is attractive for many reasons. Quality trails for all levels in an exceptional setting under the Aiguilles Croches and the Cote 2000. At Livraz you can do a wide range of other Nordic activities, such as Biathlon initiation, tobogganing or hiking on the different paths. Big International competitions are organised each year testifying to the quality of the skiing area, accessible by car or by free MegBus. We come to Livreaz for sport, relaxation and well-being… We come back for the majestic beauty of the surrounding peaks and Alpine mountains.
