Le sentier du Char

From Bellecombe, walk to the hamlet of Mont-Devant and the Gîte du Roc des Boeufs. Take the path facing the gîte which climbs uphill and make your way to the tarred road of the "Route du Reposoir". Before the square, a path goes up on the left and goes through the alpine pastures. Climb up on the left to the "Chalet du Mollard" and ascend to the top of the crest. Descend by lightly following the rounded hilltop by the left then by going down into the forest by the right. The trail traverses a steep section where you should be vigilant. Cross some new alpine pastures. Return via the GR96 path (red and white markings) to Mont Derrière then Mont Devant.
